What is a facilitator?
Generally speaking, a facilitator is someone who helps groups of people work together to achieve a shared goal or attain better results. In education, we strive to lead our students to do the best they can, And at times we must share that role and help them become a leader. At times we must shift from the teaching role to the facilitator role IE a hands-on lab where the student directs his or her outcome.

Facilitator vs Teacher: Promoting Learning Through Engagement
When the shift happens from teacher to facilitator the roles can be blurry. Articles like this help us to understand more about each role and the day-to-day needs of the class. In our program, I play both roles of the teacher in the classroom and facilitator in the hands-on lab. In the workforce, the same idea pays out in an apprenticeship or internship.

Artifacts:
As a facilitator, we are tasked with letting students learn in many ways. In today's educational world, we must teach more than the subject matter and technology has helped us do just that. Time management and organizational skills are a must in the Culinary world. Creating learning tools with technology can help educators do just that like using apps, and software to keep them on track see the lino for an example of time management.
