As adult learners it seems like we continue to learn becoming lifelong learners. You are never too old to learn something new, share with future chefs, and become a mentor to students. Technology helps us deliver, engage, and improve the learning process. CTE instructors must embrace technology and blend it with real-world experiences for future students and upcoming chefs. 2.1 Educators continually improve their practice by learning from and with others and exploring proven and promising practices that leverage technology to improve student learning. 2.1.a Set professional learning goals to explore and apply pedagogical approaches made possible by technology and reflect on their effectiveness. 2.1.b Pursue professional interests by creating and actively participating in local and global learning networks. 2.1.c Stay current with research that supports improved student learning outcomes, including findings from the learning sciences. |

The American Culinary Federation, Inc. (ACF), a professional organization for chefs and cooks, was founded in 1929 in New York City by three chefs’ organizations: the Société Culinaire Philanthropique, the Vatel Club and the Chefs de Cuisine Association of America. Since our inception, little has changed in our principal goals. We are an organization based on promoting the professional image of American chefs worldwide through education of culinarians at all levels.
